Alda Merini’s existence is closely linked to Milan's Navigli.
Her verses are populated by rowdy taverns, by a wounded humanity yet full of dignity, by deep passions bor in an alley at dawn and soon fading at a bar table. How much of this survives beyond the glossy image of the modern Milan of aperitifs and nightlife? This literary tour will be a journey in space, but above all in time, making us see the Navigli through the eyes of one of the greatest Italian poets of the 20th century.
